Festival visit
The next FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con will take place from May 14 to 16, 2026 over the Ascension holiday. We are open from Thursday to Saturday from 10:00 - 19:00.
The FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con takes place in the halls of Messe Basel at Messeplatz 10 in 4005 Basel. For more information on how to get there here.
We are looking forward to many great cosplays, but there is no costume obligation and many visitors come in "normal" street clothes. But what is already normal...
FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con is not just a meeting place for fans, but also an experience for young and old and the whole family. That's why we offer reduced admission for families on Family Day. Children up to their 9th birthday (accompanied by an adult) do not pay admission. You can find all the information here.
We ask parents to note that some cosplay costumes and exhibits may not be suitable for unprepared children. Children and young people up to the age of 14 are therefore only admitted when accompanied by an adult.
Thank you for your interest! Without volunteers, the organization of FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con would not be possible. Therefore, we are always looking for dedicated volunteers. Here you can find more information and the application form for volunteering. Please fill it out and send it to us so that we can assign you as requested.
Ticket purchase
Tickets for FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con are available in advance through our ticket partner Ticketcorner. To avoid long queues at the entrance we recommend to buy the tickets online in advance.
Advance ticket sales will end shortly before the festival. If the festival is not sold out, day tickets for the respective day can still be purchased at the box office. The box office opens at approx. 11 am. We recommend purchasing tickets via the official Ticketcorner pre-sale so that you are sure to get your tickets and don't have to queue at the box office on site.
The ticket prices for FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con vary depending on the ticket category. You can find the ticket categories and prices here.
In order to save visitors a long queue at the entrance and to ensure a pleasant festival experience for everyone, we offer four types of day tickets with different admission times. The staggered admission allows you to decide in advance when you want to come to the festival and thus help to avoid long waiting times. Buying tickets early means you can enjoy the festival for longer.
Please note: Do not arrive earlier than the admission time stated on your ticket. If you are unable to arrive on time, you can still enter later on the same day!
You can find more information about this here!
Children up to their 9th birthday do not pay admission. Under 14s are only permitted to visit if accompanied by an adult. Children and young people up to their 16th birthday pay a reduced admission fee. We do not offer a student discount. Persons with disabilities and their accompanying persons do not receive discounted admission.
We recommend that you do not purchase tickets via secondary dealer platforms. You quickly pay enormously high prices there or acquire an invalid ticket. You can find more information about this here. Purchase your tickets only from our official ticket partner Ticketcorner.
We always recommend that you bring a printed ticket with you. However, you can also show your ticket directly on your smartphone. In both cases, make sure that the QR code or barcode is clearly visible! We cannot scan photographs of tickets.
To do this, contact Ticketcorner at least 14 days before the festival. Adjustments, upgrades or refunds are not possible on site.

Accessibility
FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con is a very diverse event. With over 800 exhibitors and guests from different areas of pop culture, there is a lot to discover on more than 100,000 square meters of festival space. Many sensory impressions, several stages, loud noises and music, flashing lights, special costumes and cosplays, spontaneous and planned shows or performances, as well as large and sometimes dense crowds are spread across the entire festival.
We recommend that people who have sensory issues take personal aids with them, such as noise-canceling headphones and/or an accompanying person. There is also the option of retiring to one of our two quiet rooms at the festival if you need a break.
Yes. WCs accessible to wheelchairs and baby carriages are marked on the hall plan, as are the corresponding lifts. In addition, there is a fast line at the entrance for fast admission. Wheelchair users and accompanying persons buy a standard ticket.
Please contact contact@fantasybasel.ch beforehand and we will try to arrange your con visit as best as possible.
Dogs and other animals are not permitted on the exhibition grounds. As the organizer, it is of course very important to us that our festival is accessible to as many people as possible - including those who need to be accompanied by an assistance dog. At the same time, however, we are also obliged to ensure the safety of all visitors and to take animal welfare aspects into account.
In the meantime, we have sought advice from various specialist bodies (safety, equal opportunities for the disabled, animal welfare, etc.) and, as a compromise solution, have decided that assistance dogs are welcome at the event, but must be registered in advance with appropriate proof. The type of impairment is irrelevant for admission, but only fully trained assistance dogs will be admitted (assistance dogs in training or emotional support dogs will be rejected).
Registration in advance is necessary, as it is not possible for us to check the eligibility of an assistance dog on site at the entrance for organizational and safety reasons. In addition, we would like to avoid unnecessary waiting times or discussions at the entrance with this procedure, which should be in the interests of those affected and their dogs.
However, we would like to expressly point out that people and dogs will be exposed to a wide variety of non-everyday stress factors (noise, lighting, sound, hectic pace, high density of people) at the event. We ask those affected to think carefully about whether it is sensible and in the animal's best interests to take their assistance dog with them.
Procedure:
-
Fill out and submit the registration form by April 27, 2026 (only fully completed registrations will be considered)
-
Once the admission requirements have been met, we will send you a unique assistance dog admission code, which will ensure that you can enter the event quickly at the designated entrance gate.
Yes, there is! If things get too hectic for you at the festival, we have set up not one but two quiet zones where you can take a break from the hustle and bustle. Check out where you can find them: To the floor plans
FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con should be a safe place for all visitors, exhibitors and participants, that is very important to us.
If you have experienced or observed behaviour that crosses boundaries (be it excessive demands, discrimination, threats of violence, (sexual) assault, discomfort or other), you can contact the volunteer team, the bar team, our security staff or the organization team at any time, who will then contact the awareness team. The awareness team is there for the people concerned and offers further support if required.
More useful info
There is a checkroom where clothes and bags can be deposited for a fee during normal opening hours. Our security is authorized to check bags and luggage at the entrance, as well as to perform other security checks.

Lost or defective wristbands cannot be replaced.
The standard currency at the trade fair is Swiss francs (CHF). At most stands it is possible to pay by credit card, cash or even Twint.
