Dogs and other animals are not permitted on the exhibition grounds. At the same time, however, we are also obliged to ensure the safety of all visitors and to take animal welfare aspects into account.
\n\n
In the meantime, we have sought advice from various specialist bodies (safety, equal opportunities for the disabled, animal welfare, etc.) and, as a compromise solution, have decided that assistance dogs are welcome at the event, but must be registered in advance with appropriate proof. The type of impairment is irrelevant for admission, but only fully trained assistance dogs will be admitted (assistance dogs in training or emotional support dogs will be rejected).
\n\n
Registration in advance is necessary, as it is not possible for us to check the eligibility of an assistance dog on site at the entrance for organizational and safety reasons. In addition, we would like to avoid unnecessary waiting times or discussions at the entrance with this procedure, which should be in the interests of those affected and their dogs.
\n\n
However, we would like to expressly point out that people and dogs will be exposed to a wide variety of non-everyday stress factors (noise, lighting, sound, hectic pace, high density of people) at the event. We ask those affected to think carefully about whether it is sensible and in the animal's best interests to take their assistance dog with them.
\n\n

Procedure:
\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
Fill out and submit the registration form by May 12, 2025 (only fully completed registrations will be considered)

Once the admission requirements have been met, we will send you a unique assistance dog admission code, which will ensure that you can enter the event quickly at the designated entrance gate.

Your ticket should arrive in your inbox together with a confirmation email a few minutes after your purchase: Check your spam or junk folder. If you still haven't received anything after a few hours, please contact our partner Ticketcorner:
Ticketcorner Hotline: 0900 800 800 (CHF 1.19/min.), available Monday to Saturday from 9.00 to 18.00
No, refunds are not possible. As the tickets are not personalized, you can pass your ticket on to someone else or resell it at the original price on Ticketcorner's FanSALE platform.
Cosplayers put an incredible amount of effort into their costumes. Please do not touch the cosplays without the permission of the wearer. The same goes for photos: always ask first. Visitors please read our Festival Respect Code beforehand.
Find out in our Weapons and Cosplay Regulation what is allowed and which cosplay you better leave at home. All weapons must go through our on-site weapons check. If you have questions about a specific cosplay project, we're happy to help via cosplay@fantasybasel.ch.
We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination at our con! In such a case, please contact the security or a volunteer of FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con immediately. Any case of (sexual) harassment will be punished with an expulsion from the festival area and, if necessary, a report to the police.
You'll be able to get autographs and photos from the stars on all three days of the festival, though there are guests who won't be on site each day. The exact schedules of each guest will be announced shortly before the con here.
There will be several stages and panel rooms at the festival with exciting talks and shows. The panel and stage program will be posted here before the con. Individual workshops and panels can be found here!
Yes. WCs accessible to wheelchairs and baby carriages are marked on the hall plan, as are the corresponding lifts. In addition, there is a fast line at the entrance for fast admission. Wheelchair users and accompanying persons buy a standard ticket.
Dogs and other animals are not permitted on the exhibition grounds. As the organizer, it is of course very important to us that our festival is accessible to as many people as possible - including those who need to be accompanied by an assistance dog. At the same time, however, we are also obliged to ensure the safety of all visitors and to take animal welfare aspects into account.
Procedure:
Fill out and submit the registration form by May 12, 2025 (only fully completed registrations will be considered)
Once the admission requirements have been met, we will send you a unique assistance dog admission code, which will ensure that you can enter the event quickly at the designated entrance gate.
Yes, there is! If things get too hectic for you at the festival, we have set up not one but two quiet zones where you can take a break from the hustle and bustle. Check out where you can find them: To the floor plans
There is a checkroom where clothes and bags can be deposited for a fee during normal opening hours. Our security is authorized to check bags and luggage at the entrance, as well as to perform other security checks.
Food may not be brought onto the exhibition grounds from outside. However, there are various food stands (including vegetarian and vegan options) on site. It is possible to bring food for babies and small children. If you have allergies, intolerances or similar, you may bring food and/or medication with you on presentation of a current medical certificate.
Yes, that is possible! If you have a one-day ticket, you can pick up an exit wristband at the exit before leaving the festival site, which our volunteers will attach to your wrist. If you have a three-day ticket, you will receive a festival wristband at the entrance, which you must keep on all days in order to re-enter the festival. Lost or defective wristbands cannot be replaced.
The standard currency at the trade fair is Swiss francs (CHF). At most stands it is possible to pay by credit card, cash or even Twint. It is nevertheless advisable to always have some cash with you, as the payment options vary from stand to stand. The nearest ATM is located on the outside of Messe Basel (Riehenring/tram stop).
You may photograph and film for private use. Please note our Festival Respect Code! There may be NO photos and videos taken for commercial purposes. Photos and videos for commercial purposes require prior written consent.
Found objects will be collected during the festival and taken to the respective info points. From there, we collect them again and hand them in to the Messe Basel trade fair office at the end of the event.
The next FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con will take place from May 29 to 31, 2025 over the Ascension holiday. We are open from Thursday to Saturday from 10:00 - 19:00.
The FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con takes place in the halls of Messe Basel at Messeplatz 10 in 4005 Basel. For more information on how to get there here.
We are looking forward to many great cosplays, but there is no costume obligation and many visitors come in "normal" street clothes. But what is already normal...
FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con is not just a meeting place for fans, but also an experience for young and old and the whole family. That's why we offer reduced admission for families on Family Day. Children up to their 9th birthday (accompanied by an adult) do not pay admission. You can find all the information here.
We ask parents to note that some cosplay costumes and exhibits may not be suitable for unprepared children. Children and young people up to the age of 14 are therefore only admitted when accompanied by an adult.
Thank you for your interest! Without volunteers, the organization of FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con would not be possible. Therefore, we are always looking for dedicated volunteers. Here you can find more information and the application form for volunteering. Please fill it out and send it to us so that we can assign you as requested.
Tickets for FANTASY BASEL - The Swiss Comic Con are available in advance through our ticket partner Ticketcorner. To avoid long queues at the entrance we recommend to buy the tickets online in advance.
Advance ticket sales will end shortly before the festival. If the festival is not sold out, day tickets for the respective day can still be purchased at the box office. The box office opens at approx. 11 am. We recommend purchasing tickets via the official Ticketcorner pre-sale so that you are sure to get your tickets and don't have to queue at the box office on site.
In order to save visitors a long queue at the entrance and to ensure a pleasant festival experience for everyone, we offer four types of day tickets with different admission times. The staggered admission allows you to decide in advance when you want to come to the festival and thus help to avoid long waiting times. Buying tickets early means you can enjoy the festival for longer.
Please note: Do not arrive earlier than the admission time stated on your ticket. If you are unable to arrive on time, you can still enter later on the same day!
Children up to their 9th birthday do not pay admission. Under 14s are only permitted to visit if accompanied by an adult. Children and young people up to their 16th birthday pay a reduced admission fee. We do not offer a student discount. Persons with disabilities and their accompanying persons do not receive discounted admission.
